Greg Piper came to know Christ while stationed with the United States Army in Southern Germany, where he also met and married Barbara - a true partner not only in life, but in ministry. Later while studying at Moody Bible Institute, the Lord began to draw Greg and Barbara into evangelistic ministry.

After graduating, Greg studied at Denver Seminary where his theological convictions developed and solidified. He and Barbara, along with another friend, started the International Student Fellowship in October of 1992. This ministry has been greatly blessed by God and people from various countries have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

After Seminary, Greg and Barbara began to trust the Lord for their needs and entered full-time evangelistic work and so the ministry of Hope Worldwide began in November of 1997. Greg preached at his first Interdenominational, evangelistic crusades in Tanzania and India. After one of these crusades, 139 people were baptized. Barbara also studied at Moody and Denver Seminary. She has entered ministry full-time as an evangelist to women and youth. She has also done women's work in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

A few months after Barbara's death in the late summer of 2004, Greg and his friends and associates began praying about the possibility of his remarriage. God graciously answered these prayers and Greg and Ludmilla were married in Germany in August 2005 and in a service in Denver a few months earlier. God has blessed Greg with a new helper in the ministry God has called him to.
